As a Watercolor Artist I am drawn to my local surroundings. I call Vermont my home, and I am inspired daily by her beauty. My work is a direct reflection of my life. Most of my paintings are based on something that I have seen or done that hit me as something I had to put on paper. My paintings tend to lean toward what I find interesting in my life at the time. Some of the subject matter I have found of interest are still life set ups, Vermont and Irish landscapes, farm scenes and animals (especially dogs). Recently I have started exploring Amish quilt patterns applied to images I want to paint. I feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place and am thankful for the opportunity to be an artist and document this life. My goal as an Artist is to constantly challenge myself as a painter and to challenge you as the viewer. I want to continue to grow as an artist and bring my vision to the paper in a clean and concise way. -Sean Callahan
